Wow the Sun is here, the Hawthorn is white with flower, all the farmers around us are making early bailage as the grass is bolting. But i have seen cabbage trees in full flower and the old boys (well older than me) say that if the Cabbage trees flower before December ....Its going to be a dry season .........Umm hope not as the Hemp still has to go in.
Had an Australian couple doing a permacuture tour Dylan and Evita. Stayed in the house truck for a night and we spent the day talking and looking around. A really nice pair (and she is a GOOD cook) with their heads screwed on travelling and learning. I'm sure we will be hearing more from them.
We went to the Quiz night at Frederics with a Toastmaster team ....the place was packed and our team made 2nd missed by one point. I should have known the animal question "what animal urine is used to make Indian yellow paint '' 1 elephant 2 cow 3 tiger 4 monkey. Well has to be an Elephant ....lots of piddle big liver eating lots of yellow forest ...But NO its a blooming COW fed on mango leaves ....UMM one point..

But before the quiz Fi and I parked got out and there was a huge... bang Boosh ...from the traffic lights at the walkway ...A station wagon ran up the back of a small hatch back sending it though the lights and over the other side. Both cars badly damaged, write-offs i would say. The hatch back had a woman and her children in and they were unhurt but badly shaken it could have been heaps worse. But you know the thing than got me NO-ONE STOPPED. Just drove around and did not want to know. The first car drove around and the rest followed like sheep up a drafting race. If someone in the smash needed fast help they would die ........Yes really.
Umm may be if you have an accident or need help may pay to put a sign up.............. SALE ON NOW............ to stop people.
Anyway it was a great market on Sunday and my faith in the locals was restored............. Na she's right mate keep the change .....Great open day .......... this market is fantastic we need more of this......
And Christine from the Blueberry Patch gave me a present a real nice wee blackboard a sheep holding it (you will see it). And i was wondering were Tom from toastmasters had got to, he turned up with a new baby Spoze we can let you off for missing Fridays.
Now i can tell you You all missed the Gig of the year at Folk house............ Sorry i told you ........... you could have been there.....It was fantastic..
