I must put bigger light bulbs in this place, bring a bit of light in, sort of a jump on Spring that can't be far away, take a bit of the dull away. But i see the hydrangeas are getting buds and small leaves. This is the sign to start taking willow cuttings so Ruth has been making up bundles of willow and poplars for selling at the market.
It will be great, a bit of sun to dry the place out as we have mud everywhere. Both Ruth and Beate have bought new gumboots but im stubbornly sticking with my white on special ones I got cheap that have split at the back and have no traction on the hills.
So many people have asked about Ross's article as they don't get the paper so i said i would put the link in for you guys here it is:

Been feeding out and shifting stock around. Moved the horses and donkeys together into the fallow paddocks behind the sheep to clean it down ready for the Spring flush.
Moved the Gotlands up around the house paddocks to clean the dock up and the Cattle in the swamps to eat the Rushes all saves on winter hay and keeps the order on em.
The main mob is lambing flat out and we now have two pet lambs Beate and Ruth are feeding O yes Talking of Beate if you want to contact her here is her email for those that asked beatesmirek@gmail.com
The Farmers Market was more buoyant this week and its great to see everyone - aint it a great meeting place for like-minded people.
After the Market we had to go to Bruce's to put brakes on his rotary hoes who seem to have minds of their own and were digging everywhere. Well thats what pigs do. So we put rings in for him and then looked at the progress Cheyenne (Bruce's daughter) was making in the US. It was great - interns, farm stall, ducks, pigs, meat chickens, just heaps of gardens feeding a CSA scheme and Cheyenne looking fit and well. Fantastic.
O yes, as you know, my mother lives in Stratford township. You can tell she's my mother. Phone rings, John glad i got you, can you bring the truck into town. Yep no problem, what for? Well there are two black and white cows on me back lawn so the neighbors and I think you should come and pick them up and process them, you know next door is out of work and the other side has all them kids and over the road well he's still sick and then there is the lady who looks after the garden and all this mess and plants eaten. Well yes mum eerr arr i don't think we can do that ........Ha that got you .................the owners are coming to take them home and are so sorry. But would you believe it .......... But you know thinking about that, how would the town eat if the supermarket truck for some reason could not come, would it be 1 or 3 weeks and there would be cows missing from the close farms.
I have been two days on bookwork - GST, Organic records, Stud records for livestock, more on the hemp licence. I've got cabin fever and i go down to the mail box and here is a big packet, pages and pages from Statistics. Blooming heck they want to hope we don't run out of toilet paper.
The sad thing of the week: Jamie's and Cheryl's big French Mastiff Dogue de Bordeaux stud dog Richard passed away. Richard and Jamie are often at the market with many people of all ages talking and petting Richard. One of the team will be missed.
