     Title: 18 December 2012
So we had our family get together it was great to catch up with everyone.
Unfortunately we were let down by two wwoofers who were to stay for 3 weeks, we got the work sorted, the accommodation cleaned and ready and they were a no show. It is also unfortunate as I had turn lots away as it made us booked out. We get very busy this time of year and really need the help. Hayley our American Wwoofer would have liked some people of her own age here as well. But not to be at this stage. Hayley is doing well and the donkey she is working with is getting better.

Robin sent me an email. His Gotland Ram got his ewe in lamb and he had to help her, the ewe and lamb are fine but the strange thing is my Gotlands started lambing the same day and we now have two gotland lambs and more to come. The donkeys are having foals and its great to see them. Once they are well finished we will be getting them in to do their feet as I don't like to do them when they are heavy in foal.

A funny thing happened to me...... Ruth and Beate went to the Colour man and talked me into giving a hair sample to take and as Beate offered to pay I agreed, thinking I'm not into this hobgoblin stuff. Anyway the report came back WOW it sure was right - things about me only I knew like I have balance problems from Meniere's (middle ear). So maybe there is something in it, keep ya posted.

So I have got Ila to start a Facebook page on the farm. Please like us: AvonstourOrganicHeritageFarm. I know I should have done this years ago but needed a better PC and its just not me. ILA will do it well.

The Taranaki Farmers Market was fantastic this week, a real one and we need more, so we need you as well to make the next one.
