Title: 11 January 2013
Well the week started with wind and we lost many plums. But at least the pigs are happy. It did bring both the ponds and hemp up they both needed it. I will get Ila to post photos on Facebook as soon as I catch up with the office work from the phone line being out. But the Hemp is really starting to move UP ..and Up.
Siets planted the potatoes around the shepherd wagon and every day she is waiting for the leaves to start, won't be long but I think we will be needing to send a photo. She has been clearing manuka and doing the herb garden. Antsy is the word, she would out do two women half her age when it comes to work.
I have been dagging and shearing a few sheep and the bruises show im making a hard job of it but i am getting a few done at least.
Talking of women while in New Plymouth the other day I was talking to a very nice lady who said wow look at the mountain ...don't she look Great .....Well with that I put my glasses on and looked and I said
Can't you see its a he .........and she said I love men with glasses..... and walked off arm in arm with her man who just smiled and said she likes beards as well and he was clean shaven ......O well not sure what that was about but it is a legend that Taranaki had a row over the young fertile female mountain Pihanga and Taranaki had to leave dragging his roots behind him and that's how the Taranaki backcountry where we live was formed ........
The solar panel has come for the house truck I just need to find time to get it fitted. I also want to get rid of the temporary shower and get a better one fitted.
