Title: 3 April 2013
You know I would really like to know what time it is. Ruth thought it was daylight saving this weekend so moved all the vehicle clocks an hour, then Ila got up and I asked her what the right time was as Ruth thought it was daylight saving and had changed the clocks ....No John its next week.. and over the morning changed the house and workshop clocks and later some of the vehicle clocks. And then later Ruth changed others. The result is that every clock is different some 4 hours apart ......................So I'm buying a sundial, sleep and eat when I like .........Look if I'm late for a meeting sorry ...
Talking of meetings its bad enough not knowing what time it is but this week I was so busy I got my days mixed up drove to New Plymouth for a Farmers Market Trust meeting only to find it was another day. Drove home to find I had missed a Rarebreed meeting. I really need to be careful when I fill out the calendar .....I think I need a holiday.... No chance of that Beate just came to the door - we have no water and the pump is not working. Here we go another week of that.
The rain has been fantastic, the flats are greening up, I just hope we can get some cover on them before the frosts come. All the stock are looking good. I have been ringing the pigs - as soon as it rained they started digging up the place. Ila, Jess and Ruth helped and Beate went out for the day (not too good at those things).
Evan rang - Have you got a Dorset Horn Ram for sale? Well no I have sold all the ones I had for sale, O yes you can take one of my keepers .. Hay you don't know of a heading dog Ila can get to catch goats .. Maybe see ya Friday.
Hi Evan, here is your ram great here is the cheque he's great will get all me hoggets mated now, Got Ila a dog on the trailer its a 4 year old bitch the owner can't stop it working .. Right thanks Evan.
So Maggie is a very small heading bitch looks as if she's a good one. BUT I think Ila will have her work cut out. The horses are going well, Ila is training sitting on them all now and they have all been tied up. Any way I'm sure you will be hearing more on Maggie.
So two new litters of Wessex pigs 8 and 14 and a small Canterbury blue litter of 4 this week.
We have heaps of apples and pears falling so they are being collected daily for the pigs. I used to bottle, cider and freeze heaps but this year I have too much on.
