Well did ya know a paradise duck can live till its 40 ......the one Ila shot was 39 But she did do a great job of cooking her beer can duck. You dress the duck as normal, take a full can of beer, open it and stuff the can into the duck upright, stand duck in oven and roast at 150 for 5 hours (if over 20 years make it 10) Any way the beer can boils and cooks from the inside. A good meal wish she had got two.

Daisy came out for 2 days and Ila and her went riding on Ra and Tim. Jesse has been doing firewood and fixing pot holes in the track.

We have all been very busy sorting for the Farmers market and the Rarebreed weekend THIS week - only last week it was 6 weeks away!

I went up to the Volcano Restaurant to organise the Rarebreed dinner and AGM. I now have Ian Selby talking on purebred Poultry and I will I think do a short talk on Rarebreed meat and marketing of it. After the visit I went up to see Moira at the WAIAU Estate Cafe and Winery ... I will keep ya posted on that ...

Went and sung a few songs at Sportys Karaoke. Called on my accountant and at toastmasters I had to do a presentation with no words blooming heck I was shown a Banana and I was the only one who knew and I had one minute to get across
to everyone what animal ate this fruit. Well I just was me and they all got it.

The new door for the Pyroclassic fire turned up and it took me hours to get the old one off. It had been on there for 15 years going most days cooking and heating our water and the old door just liked it there. But I did get it off with the help of CRC and my BIG hammer. All go now and heating water like one thing (and I'm not having to get fire wood .... Great !! )

The Farmers market had a great feel as it was Mothers Day but the take was well down for all as mothers were still in bed being cooked breakfast and most dads don't do the shopping. But we had good buskers and Ross and other friends called in to talk.

Went to Justins house to do a building review. Its looking great, he is onto the kitchen this week man this is one strong house.

Went to the Folk House at Decanta Tapas bar for the opening night. It was Great. Good local music with great people. We will be back for sure.

Must go and move stock as Ila is working at Te Kahuri nursery in Kaponga for a few weeks so I'm under pressure a bit.
