blooming heck I need half the pay putting up with this     ....

Well as I said, I have been on the road for 4 days. Well I had to pick a Gotland ram up from Robins at Pio Pio ..drop in to Peter to swap books .. Look at some Brahman cattle just out of Auckland and I have never been to my sisters new property in Keri Keri. So with the ute packed to the hilt with books, meat, bedding.. bed warmer, kitchen sink etc ...on the "drom" (Gypsy for the road ) I went. The weather was fine but I had a small tickle in my throat arrr
Don't be stupid john you never get crook it was 2005 last time you had a sore throat .....umm i'm gonna shoot Jess he brought a bug onto the farm ...Blah keep driving you will be fine..Get to Robins Ben in, drop off the sheep crate and have a coffee and keep driving up past the Brahman cattle and through Blooming Auckland, Man the traffic all them 4x4s so clean not a dent on em, bet they never been in 4 wheel drive let alone off tar seal. O yes maybe on a stretch of road works ..........My ute looking very untidy and unwashed and full of half the farm ..but real yes REAL ....Pulled in for a coffee at an amazing swamp Kauri carving art place the cheapest piece being $3500 and up to $100,000. Talked with the main man and he showed me through the workshop. Talked timber and time Farming and how the world is and going ...as you do ....back on the road and at dark found my country ute had only full beam. Would be due to that Bus at Bulls smashing the front. So with some very unhappy traffic in the ditches and blinded I got to Kerikeri meeting Rick in the countdown car park and to Pat and Ricks paradise orchard complete with road side sales. Great place and I can see they have put the work in and the place has the Pat look well most of the place is in garden and food trees. Rick has now got a man cave so he can hide. Na really they were both the happiest I have seen em.

So next day after a good look around back on the road Calling in to See the Brahman Cattle the only registered ones in NZ man they were fantastic. Very big maybe the bull over 6 foot at the shoulder and the cows not much smaller. The calves were great .........Yes I know Yes I'm tempted ....can't help it sorry ..thats me. And back to Robins for the night. Ram loaded and then back to Taranaki......... By now full blown flu ....And so much ta do when i get home .....O well i can sleep in  ..UMMM Sleep dream Ring  ..ring ...Ring Ri

Any way It was the slowest market i have ever been to on Sunday, did not even pay for my fuel. The place was dead with only a few locals calling.
Penny dropped in and i asked were she was from she said the west country like Robin and I.
"Is that right penny"
