     Title: 11 October 2013
Well I'm late getting this week done but its done now well it was before i lost it somewhere i cyber space give me a pencil and paper any day.
The day started with a frost - 10th October last year our last frost was on 5 Nov so lets hope we miss that.  I awoke early this morning wondering how to get all the work done. The labour force on the farm has fallen with both Ruth and Ila working off farm each half a week.
Augie had his last day today so he can continue travelling. He will leave a huge void on the farm as he fitted in so well and had been here over 4 months. I tried every way to keep him on site even getting two 21 year old tall girls from Austria booked in to Wwoof ........O well he will be back some day I'm sure.
In the mean time we have Wwoofers starting next week and then the Austrian girls.

Justin came out for two days and we got the floor poured and the first coat of plaster on the walls of the studio water tank. We will give it another hit in a week or so.

The bee man has gone through the hives and although there was a loss from wasp invasion the rest were in good shape.

With all the work on the Studio and office work I have not had time to walk the land much but the other evening i went for a wander and the wild Barberry is just breaking flower and we have surplus grass with the odd wild pheasant and other wild birds. The apple trees are out in flower. the Dorset horn hoggets are lambing. There is a new black Donkey foal and a litter of Wessex Saddleback pigs. The odd bantam is coming out with chicks and there is a large clutch of Khaki ducks out. Spring is well here and the blossoms and the young stock again gives the place the garden of Eden feel.

Well thats it for this week gotta get back to work lots ta do
