Title: 30 October 2013
You know we always seem to be saying goodbye to someone and this week it was Anna the American girl who has been here for near 2 weeks. Anna fitted in so well and is welcome back any time.
Its been a hard week as it started with a French volunteer guy booked in had an accident in the South Island and could not make it, and then the two girls from Austria turned up while we had all that heavy rain early in the week. It had taken them a long time to get here as the Campervan inbuilt computer kept cutting the motor and would not let it be restarted. So they thought it better that the van was returned to Auckland. So they left early Monday morning as the sun came out.
Its really unfortunate as i had turned so many away as we had no bed space.
The plan was to share the cooking and house work etc so we could all get into sorting for the open day.
It has been made even harder with Ruth and Ila working off the farm for 4 days and each covering farm jobs while the other is in town.
Thank goodness i have a night off and go to toastmasters Friday morning or i would just crash.
This week Thursday I went with Fi to see the film Trashed. In my view this film should shown to all the schools as the problem of plastic trash is far greater than we think affecting the health of many people.
At this film I was hoping to catch up with Evan as he has given Ila a really nice heading pup female who came with the name Lily now its Jess Lily like the bitch on footrot flats. She is working sheep already and is looking good BUT keeps me up with her yapping.
Umm That will go I'm sure
Sue O'Dowd from Taranaki Daily News came out to do an article, it was very good and sure it will help for the open day.
We are STILL waiting for the hemp licence and after the open day I will be shaking cages.
We have two more baby donkeys and another lamb for the open day. Talking of that i better get back to it i need ta fix some gates and get stock sorted. A few flyers done, get sorted for market on Currie Street, I'm speaking at toastmasters UMMM i think i need another week
Ha thats me fit more into less time ....................Can ya sell me a time machine....
