     Title: 22 September 2011
The large Magnolia tree behind the workshop is in full flower, looks fantastic.  The peach trees are flowering and the bees are on them. The well needed rain came and so did the snow on the mountains but too much.  Justin and Aleena were here all week not able to get skiing.  But all was good.
Just had a call from Julian, he has a litter of Canterbury blue pigs and he may have a boar for us.  Always good to talk to a like-minded person.
Talking of like-minded people we had a meeting of the Hoi Polloi Association and appointed an information officer this week.
Had a road trip to Bulls to take back the kelpie dog we had borrowed for Ila's bitch Abbie.  Went on to Sanson and met Nico for an order drop off.  On the way home had a look at some good fresh water fishing spots (I HAVE TO DO THAT THIS YEAR).
The chickens are starting to flush so we are getting more to the hatchery to keep the cycle going.  Talking of that if you need eggs hatched drop me a line and I will get Jamie to contact you.  Will be the cheapest way to get your birds.
Have got the donkeys and cattle home from the hills and forest so we can do the donkeys feet in a week or so.  Its nice having them in sight.
Had some takers for using the smoke house, a few eels and wild pork, even a rabbit.
Ila and Samuel have had exams this week and nothing matches with the school bus so we have had to be in and out heaps, not helping the fuel bill.
So I talked to Wally and swapped his two door 1990 Nissan pulsar for two pony foals (one for each door HA).  Runs on the smell of petrol, reg and warranted so if it has
6 months in it and Ila can learn to drive in it should be good.
Claudia called in today to get the cheese course this weekend sorted (she's the tutor).
The rotary hoe is in town getting a new clutch, hopefully our new Wwoofers coming Friday will use it to get the spud patch dug.
Ruth has spent some time in her garden (not enough as its her release).  Nashnui donated Ila some more seedlings for her garden, its looking good.
Samuel is spending more time away and worrying about his appearance.  We all know what that means (time for THAT talk).
Pat my sister has sold up in Jaffaville and is off to KeriKeri, lots of Lawns (she will rip them up and into veg), berries and fruit.  A good move im sure.
So see ya at the Farmers Market Sunday.
