     Title: 19 October 2011
Rush rush got to get everything done early, got a meeting in New Plymouth tonight.  Jamie is bringing eels to put in the smoke house tomorrow, get the sheep shifted, pigs fed. O no im out of shavings for the smoker.  O well got time to run some manuka over the planer just take a few minutes.  Yep no problem just about done.  WHAM the timber shattered and my left hand had no where to go but into the blades.  Turned of the machine and picked up a piece of finger and off to find Ruth.  Its not too bad I will just tape it up I have to get to New Plymouth Ruth.  No you have to go to the doctor John.  So doing what im told i drove to town to the doctor got the bit stitched on, the skin pulled over and stitched.  No don't rush off John you need a Tetanus jab.  Do you really think so? the manuka was really clean and i keep my wood planer well disinfected.
YER Right.  All right just don't let me see the blooming thing.
So Sue walked in and I drove us to the meeting in New Plymouth.  I have to say i cant remember most of it.
So between driving in to Stratford every day to get the finger dressed, I planted Sunflowers in the food forests, got pigs to the Abattoir for bacon and pork, drove the French woofer girl into town and off to Auckland and Ila in every day for her Ag course.
Samuel seems to have moved out (no really we have not seen much of him must be something he likes elsewhere) He is home today as he seems to have the flu or something.
A few more Damara hoggets have lambed.
Saturday went to the protest on the Food Bill.  Great to see you all there.  Watch this space.
So after 40 odd years as a carpenter never getting cut on a machine and over 25 years without a tetanus shot, tonight i have a shorter finger (not much it seems to have taken so only a wee bit shorter) and a fat (getting fatter) arm from the shot.
O well a slow week but still going.
See Ya Sunday
