Title: 9 August 2012
... Whew.
Back to me burnt breakfast, coffee, and plan the day. Open the mail .... IRD Fine overdue GST $80.89 ... WHAT! that was not overdue, that was done .... Ministry of Health .... Great our Licence to grow industrial hemp "Thank you for your Application, Your application has been returned due to insufficient payment and insufficient information .... The cost has gone up $14.44
and we need more information on this....... that ........and if you have and .....will. How much THC content ... Here we go, this is Industrial hemp, the stuff you grow for rope, fibre, food and building material, you would have to smoke a power pole of it to get anything. I won't even open the letter from the bank ......... I'm off to see the Wiltshire ewes .......................
Well that's a relief ....... lambs still inside the ewes and they look alright in the last of the fallow. I did see the camellias are flowering and some blossom on the plum trees so thats a start.
A funny thing the other night all night in the full moon the magpies were calling. I have never heard that before, one would sing olgle olgle agga as they do way over and they all answered back in the trees, kept me awake.
I have got the Chalfont going in the house truck, but i think it needs a look at by a gas fitter (do you know one?) I have also eased the French doors, got the ramp in, she coming together slowly.
We went for a pot luck at Dee's. It was great to catch up with everyone and that Dexter beef steak Dave cooked was some of the best i have ever eaten. Janine's chicken noodle soup, well don't change that recipe. Ruth took a slow cooked muscovy duck in beetroot and Dee made strawberry crumble for dessert. You just can't go out and buy a meal like this, 5 courses washed down with cider and red wine, Yep we need to do more of that.
The market was a good one lots of people. I bought a bottle of Berry Liqueur from Cottage Wines, Wow now that is the stuff i can totally recommend.
Ruth's goats are starting to kid and she now has two on the bottle along with the lambs Beate is looking after. The kitchen bench is a feeding bottles rack.
We are not seeing as much of Beate as she is doing her therapy work in New Plymouth. The pigs will miss her singing.
So thats this one. John
PS the bank letter was nothing, just a statement........ whoooh we are always close to the line
